Library Closure

Due to construction work to extend the car park, Donnington and Muxton Community Library will be closed from Tuesday 29th May re-opening on Monday 4th June 2018. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.

Bus Route 5 Diversion 26th March to 24th August 2018

As a result of work by Severn Trent Water and the subsequent full road closure of Wellington Road, Muxton from its junction with A4640 (School Road) to The Whitehouse Hotel between 26th March and 24th August 2018, Bus Route 5 will be diverted as follows:

Towards Stafford: Along School Road, Donnington Wood Way, Marshbrook Way, Saltwell’s Drive, Muxton Lane, Wellington Road.

Towards Telford: Wellington Road, Muxton Lane, Fieldhouse Drive, Donnington Wood Way.
Stops missed are the Old Post Office and Breton Park.

Neighbourhood Plan

The Parish Council will be holding Neighbourhood Plan Public Consultation Meetings on the following dates commencing at 7pm:

Monday 12th February 2018 at Turreff Hall, Donnington, TF2 8HG.

Tuesday 20th February 2018 at the Donnington Community Hub, St Matthew’s Road, Donnington, TF2 7PR.

Wednesday 21st February 2018 at St John’s Church, Saltwell’s Drive, Muxton, TF2 8RJ

Application for the designation of the Donnington and Muxton Parish area as a neighbourhood area

NOTICE IS GIVEN that the Borough of Telford and Wrekin (“the Council”) has received from Donnington and Muxton Parish Council an application under Regulation 5 for the Council to designate the area comprising the Donnington and Muxton Parish Council area as a neighbourhood area within the meaning of section 61 G of the 1990 Act (see explanatory note below).

A copy of the application and a map of the area can be viewed on the Council website at www.telford.gov.uk/donningtonandmuxtonndp, at Business & Planning First Point, Telford & Wrekin Council, Wellington Civic Offices, Larkin Way, Telford. TF1 1LX during weekdays 8:30am to 5pm, at Telford Library, Meeting Point house, Southwater Square, Telford TF3 4JG from Monday to Friday 10am to 6pm and Saturday 10am to 4pm.

Representations on whether the Donnington and Muxton Parish Council area is an appropriate neighbourhood area may be made to the Council no later than 5pm on Friday 19 May 2017 by writing to Environment and Planning Policy Team, Business & Development Planning, Telford & Wrekin Council, PO BOX 457, Wellington Civic Offices, Telford. Explanatory Note
Following the Introduction of the Localism Act 2011, the purpose of designating a neighbourhood area is for a neighbourhood plan to then be prepared for that area. The Donnington and Muxton Parish Council is currently preparing a neighbourhood plan and this application seeks now to formalise the beginning of that process.

Police request information to help track down serial graffiti “artists” spoiling the area of Trench and Donnington

Police are requesting information relating to the person(s) responsible for the graffiti tags blighting the areas of Trench and Donnington as seen in the photos in the attached link.
